The Continuing Education Committee was instituted to ensure that all pharmacists meet the educational requirements before registration and re-registration according to international standards and as set by the Pharmacy Council of St. Lucia.

Calculations of Online Continued Education
1- Credits must be ACPE approved activities.
ACPE - Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
2- Pharmacy credits are identified as CPE credits.
 CPE - continuing pharmacy education
3- Some online websites also state them as CEUs (Continuing Education Units) and would normally state them with the contact hours of the activity. Eg: A CE which was 2 hours long will be stated as follows:

  • Contact Hours (CEU) : 2(0.2)
  • The credits received is 0.2 credits.

We do hope this brings clarity to calculating your credits earned.
